Private Security Officer
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as Class “D” licensed Unarmed Private. This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the public service industry; planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety and environmental issues. This program consists of 40 hours consisting of one occupational completion point (OCP).
- There is no TABE Test requirement for this course.
- Admission Policy: Students must be 16 years of age or older and not currently enrolled in another Miami-Dade County Public School.
- Refund Policy: Before the start of class – full tuition refund. Within first 14 days – 50% tuition refund. After 14 days – no refund.
